After the completion of Cony Party Bonanza this year all of the newly trained members went out to their respective chapters and spread the news of what they learned with their fellow Brothers. If you did not have the opportunity to participate in a conversation like this, this is what we hoped one of those conversations was like.

“O’man let me tell you about Cony Party Bonanza.  It was the best thing that I have done in a long time. I went to this class called how to be an elangomat and learned all about how to rock at helping new members get through the Ordeal safe and sound. I also learned about all the sweet perks that you can get from being an elangomat like; Ice cream, a free t-shirt, fun times, and great food. I’m already signed up for Cony Party One and Two. It’s too bad that you didn’t get to come but you can still be an elangomat. You just have to go to and sign up. I get it if you don’t want to get in the mud with the candidates but you have always been great at acting so how about you become a ceremonialist. You can literally be the face of the Order of the Arrow for the new members. I went to the class about the message of the Ordeal and learned how amazing it feels to help guide my fellow brothers into our order.

“You know how all the guys that run the lodge all meet every month to plan out how we are going to do stuff. I got to voice my opinions about how we are going to run Cony Parties this year. I felt like I was helping change the lodge. I also found out that the meeting that happens every month, Lodge Executive Council, is opened to all members despite its name. Overall the event was well worth my time.  We ate great food and I just had an amazing time.”

This might not have been a conversation you had with one of your fellow Arrowmen, but even though you might not have made it to Cony Party Bonanza you can still do amazing things this year to help Tahosa Lodge. By helping the lodge you will be able to grow your character, meet new people, and just have fun. Sign up to help out at a Cony Party at I hope to see you there.
